160mm 2 in 1 Barbed Fixing Pegs and Bay Markers

160mm 2 in 1 Barbed Fixing Pegs and Bay Markers

Description

160mm 2 in 1 Barbed Fixing Pegs and Bay Markers are designed to secure geotextile membranes, porous paving grids and ground reinforcement systems while also providing a visible surface marker once installed. They are commonly used where accurate layout, fixing and long term visibility are required from a single fixing point.

The barbed shaft provides strong anchorage in a wide range of ground conditions, helping prevent movement of membranes or grids during installation and under load. This makes them suitable for use with woven and non woven geotextiles, porous paving systems, gravel retention grids and erosion control products.

Each peg includes a high visibility white top which remains exposed once installed. This allows the same fixing point to act as a bay marker or layout reference in car parks, driveways, access routes and reinforced grass areas. This is particularly useful where bays or edges need to remain visible without additional markers or posts.

Manufactured from UV stabilised, impact resistant polymer, the pegs are designed to withstand vehicle traffic once installed. They offer a safer alternative to metal fixings in areas where services, animals or machinery may be present and do not corrode when buried.

Installation is quick and straightforward, either by hand or with a mallet depending on ground conditions. Once driven in, the barbed design resists uplift and movement, maintaining both fixing integrity and marker position over time.

What are these pegs used for?

They are used to secure geotextile membranes or ground reinforcement while also acting as visible bay or layout markers at the surface.

Are they suitable for vehicle trafficked areas?

Yes. They are designed to withstand vehicle loading once installed and are commonly used in car parks and driveways.

Can they be used with porous paving systems?

Yes. They are compatible with porous paving grids and are often used to fix grids while marking bays or parking positions.

Why use these instead of standard fixing pegs?

They reduce the need for separate fixings and markers, saving time and keeping layouts consistent across the installation.

How are they installed?

They can be installed by hand in softer ground or with a mallet in firmer conditions, driven through the membrane or grid into the sub base.
