Choosing from our collections is about matching the product to the site, not simply picking a weight or price point.

On softer or clay based soils, separation between sub grade and sub base is critical to prevent fines migrating into your aggregate. In these cases, non woven membranes are commonly used beneath stone to maintain drainage and protect the build up. Where trafficking is heavier, such as car parks, access roads or horse turnout areas, woven membranes, geogrids or cellular systems may be required to improve load spread and reduce movement.

For equestrian projects, correct layering is key. A woven membrane is often used in the base for stability, with a suitable non woven membrane above the aggregate for separation and protection. In drainage applications, including French drains and attenuation systems, permeability and puncture resistance are the priority.

Fixings and accessories are also grouped within their own collections. Using the correct pins, tapes and connectors reduces movement during installation and keeps systems aligned until infill is placed.

If your project crosses multiple areas, for example a driveway with a soakaway and edge retention, you will likely need products from more than one collection. Work through the build up from the ground up, and select each layer based on soil condition, loading and water management requirements.
