NW8 White Non-Woven Geotextile Membrane 100gsm Cut Sheets

White NW8 is a thermally bonded, non-woven polypropylene geotextile membrane designed for separation and filtration within ground constructions. At 100gsm, it sits in the core specification range and is widely used across domestic and light commercial projects where controlled drainage and prevention of material mixing are required.

When installed between soil and aggregate layers, NW8 prevents fine particles migrating into the sub-base while still allowing water to pass freely through the fabric. This helps maintain drainage performance, reduces soft spots and prolongs the life of paths, patios and driveways. It is commonly used beneath gravel, block paving, artificial grass and paved surfaces laid on MOT Type 1.

The membrane is also well suited to drainage applications. It is frequently used to wrap soakaway crates, French drains and land drains to stop surrounding soil clogging the system over time. The permeability and pore structure allow water movement while retaining fines.

Cut sizes are supplied folded and boxed, making them practical for smaller projects, restricted access sites and DIY installations where full rolls would be excessive. Typical uses include garden landscaping, shed bases, patios, soakaways and light duty driveway build ups.

NW8 is not a structural reinforcement fabric and should not be used where ground stabilisation or load distribution is required on weak sub grades. For high traffic areas, poor ground or commercial loading, a heavier non-woven or combined reinforcement system should be specified.
