DuraMatt Medium Duty Access Mats 12mm

DuraMatt Medium Duty Access Mats are rigid plastic ground protection mats designed to provide short or long term access across soft, uneven or sensitive surfaces. Manufactured from recycled LDPE, they spread loads to reduce rutting, ground damage and mud migration while maintaining a stable running surface.

These mats are commonly used to form temporary access routes, site roadways, pedestrian walkways and temporary car parks on construction sites, civil engineering projects and outdoor event spaces. They are suitable for medium plant, site vehicles, welfare access and public foot traffic where permanent surfacing is not practical.

The 12mm thick mat provides a balance between strength and handling. Each mat can be installed manually by two people without lifting equipment. A diamond patterned non slip surface improves traction in wet conditions, while the smooth underside helps the mat sit flat on hard standing, grass or soil.

DuraMatt Medium mats are weight tested up to 20 tonnes depending on ground conditions, with recommended working loads of 10 tonnes on soft ground and up to 15 tonnes on firmer ground. Performance is always dependent on sub grade strength and preparation.

Mats can be connected using 2 way or 4 way connectors or steel fast fit connectors to create continuous access routes. A geotextile membrane beneath the mats is recommended on soft ground to improve separation and reduce mud pumping between joints.

These mats are not suitable for steel tracked vehicles unless pre approved. Aggressive turning and braking should be avoided and a site speed limit of 5mph must be observed.

Manufactured from 100 percent recycled low density polyethylene (LDPE). This material provides impact resistance, flexibility and long service life without rotting or absorbing water.
