E-Mat Heavy Duty Access Mats 12mm

E-Mat Heavy Duty Access Mats 12mm

Description

E-Mat Heavy Duty Access Mats are rigid composite ground protection mats designed to provide reliable temporary access across soft, uneven or sensitive ground. Manufactured from recycled high density polyethylene, they spread heavy loads to reduce ground deformation, vehicle bogging and surface damage.

These mats are commonly used on construction sites, civil engineering projects, infrastructure works and large outdoor events where heavy plant, delivery vehicles and pedestrian access must be maintained without installing permanent surfaces. Typical uses include temporary roadways, emergency access routes, site compounds and temporary car parks.

The 12mm thick panel offers high load capacity while remaining man-handable. Each mat can be installed by two people without specialist lifting equipment. The top surface features a high profile vehicular traction pattern to improve grip for plant and machinery, while the underside incorporates a low profile non slip surface suitable for pedestrian walkways.

E-Mat Heavy Duty mats are weight tested to support up to 120 tonnes depending on ground conditions, with a suggested working load of 80 tonnes. As with all access matting, performance depends on sub grade strength, load distribution and vehicle type.

Multiple connection points allow mats to be linked using 2 way or 4 way connectors to create continuous access routes or larger working platforms. A geotextile membrane beneath the mats is recommended on soft ground to reduce contamination and improve separation.

Steel tracked vehicles are not suitable unless pre approved. Aggressive manoeuvring should be avoided and a site speed limit of 5mph must be observed.

Key Features

About this collection

Heavy Duty Matting

Heavy duty ground matting provides temporary or permanent surface protection and load distribution on weak or sensitive ground.
View Collection

Are these mats suitable for very heavy plant?

Yes, within the stated load limits. Ground conditions must be assessed and loads kept within what the sub grade can support.

Can the mats be used on soft or sensitive ground?

Yes. They are designed to spread load and reduce rutting. A geotextile beneath the mats is recommended on weak ground.

Are steel tracked vehicles allowed?

No. Steel tracked vehicles should not be used unless pre authorised, as they can damage the mats and connectors.

How are the mats connected together?

They connect using 2 way or 4 way connectors through the integrated connection points to form continuous access routes.

Can these mats be reused across multiple projects?

Yes. They are designed for repeated installation, removal and storage with no ongoing maintenance.
