EcoGrid E40 Porous Paving Grid

EcoGrid E40 is a permeable ground reinforcement grid manufactured from 100 percent recycled polyethylene. With a 40mm profile, it is designed as a universal grid suitable for pedestrian areas through to regular vehicle trafficking where a stable, free draining surface is required.

When installed and filled, EcoGrid E40 distributes loads across the surface, reducing rutting, settlement and surface deformation. The open cell structure allows water to pass vertically through the surface, supporting SuDS compliant construction and reducing surface water runoff.

EcoGrid E40 is widely used for domestic driveways, car parks, access roads, gateways, field entrances, campsites and service routes. It is also commonly specified for equestrian applications such as paddocks, wash down areas and small to medium riding arenas where ground protection and durability are required.

The grid interlocks to form a continuous reinforced surface and can be installed quickly with minimal equipment. For reliable long term performance, EcoGrid E40 should be installed over a correctly prepared sub base with a suitable non woven geotextile membrane beneath to prevent sub grade migration and loss of support.

EcoGrid E40 is suitable for frequent vehicle use, including vans and light commercial traffic. In areas subject to heavy goods vehicles, tight turning or high lateral loads, a deeper grid such as EcoGrid E50 should be considered.
