EcoGrid E40 XXL Porous Paving Grid

EcoGrid E40 XXL is a permeable ground reinforcement grid manufactured from 100 percent recycled polyethylene. It uses the same 40mm deep structure and load performance as EcoGrid E40 but in a large format panel measuring 1.0 x 1.33 metres, allowing rapid installation over large surface areas.

Once installed and filled, EcoGrid E40 XXL spreads loads evenly across the surface, reducing rutting, settlement and surface deformation under pedestrian and vehicle traffic. The open cell structure allows water to drain freely into the ground, supporting SuDS compliant construction and reducing surface water runoff.

EcoGrid E40 XXL is commonly specified for resin bound stone base systems, large car parks, access roads, service yards and high use driveways. The reduced number of joints compared to standard grids improves overall surface stability and makes it particularly suitable for resin installations where minimising movement is critical.

Installation is fast and efficient due to the large panel size, reducing labour time and improving consistency across the surface. As with all ground reinforcement systems, EcoGrid E40 XXL should be installed over a correctly prepared sub base with a suitable non woven geotextile membrane beneath to prevent sub grade migration and loss of support.

EcoGrid E40 XXL is suitable for regular vehicle use including cars, vans and light commercial traffic. For heavy goods vehicles, tight turning or high lateral loading, deeper grid systems should be considered.
