Economic Ground Mats 22mm

Economic Ground Mats, also known as EcoGrid Bodenmat, are modular temporary flooring mats designed to create a stable, non slip surface over existing ground without excavation or fixings. Manufactured from recycled polyethylene, they are laid loose and connected using an integrated tongue and groove edge.

These mats are commonly used on solid or firm surfaces such as concrete, asphalt, grass or compacted stone. Typical applications include temporary access routes, plant and vehicle access areas, storage zones, event flooring, marquee bases and industrial or workshop flooring where protection and insulation are required.

The tongue and groove system allows each mat to slot firmly into the next, forming a continuous surface without clips, bolts or tools. Mats can be installed quickly and safely, and lifted again just as easily when no longer required. Where obstacles are present, mats can be cut to shape using a standard jigsaw.

The underside provides stability and helps reduce movement, while the surface offers reliable slip resistance. When installed as a continuous area, the system allows rainwater to drain beneath the mats, improving weather performance. Impact noise is also reduced, making the system suitable for indoor or semi enclosed spaces.

Economic Ground Mats are suitable for vehicle and machinery access on firm ground, with high load spreading performance when loads are evenly distributed. Optional ramped edges are available to reduce trip hazards and provide smoother transitions at access points.

These mats are not suitable for steel tracked vehicles. Ground conditions and load requirements should always be assessed before use.
