Elite Hi Vis 4 Way Connector

The Elite Hi Vis 4 Way Connector is designed to connect temporary access and ground protection mats where a grid formation is required. It is installed beneath the corner holes of four adjacent mats and secured from the top using standard bolts and washers.

This connector provides a strong mechanical fixing while allowing a small amount of controlled flex. This helps prevent damage to mat edges when subjected to movement from vehicles, plant and machinery, particularly on uneven ground. Fixing mats into a grid also improves overall surface stability and reduces the risk of lifting, slipping and trip hazards.

The 4 Way Connector is commonly used on medium to long term installations such as temporary roadways, access routes, working areas and temporary car parks. It can be used alongside the 2 Way Connector where layouts require both straight runs and full grid fixing.

Installation does not require specialist equipment. Standard spanners, a wrench or a battery operated drill can be used. Air drills are not recommended, as over tightening can restrict movement and increase stress on mats, especially during hot weather when expansion may occur.

This connector is compatible with a range of heavy duty access mat systems and is suitable for use where improved safety and mat stability are required.
