Elite Standard 2 Way Connector

The Elite Standard 2 Way Connector is a versatile fixing designed to join temporary access and ground protection mats in straight runs or grid layouts. It is installed beneath the corner holes of adjacent mats and secured from the top using standard bolts and washers.

This connector provides a strong mechanical connection while allowing a small amount of controlled flex. This helps prevent damage to mat edges when subjected to movement from vehicles, plant and machinery, particularly on uneven ground. Fixing mats together also improves overall stability and reduces the risk of lifting, slipping and trip hazards.

The Standard 2 Way Connector is suitable for medium to long term installations such as access routes, working areas and temporary car parks. It can be used alongside the Standard 4 Way Connector where grid formations are required.

No specialist equipment is needed for installation. Standard spanners, a wrench or a battery operated drill can be used. Air drills are not recommended, as over tightening can restrict movement and increase stress on mats, particularly during hot weather when expansion may occur.

This connector is compatible with a wide range of matting systems and is commonly used across mixed site installations.
