Elite Standard 4 Way Connector

The Elite Standard 4 Way Connector is designed to connect temporary access and ground protection mats where a grid formation is required. It is installed beneath the corner holes of four adjacent mats and secured from the top using standard bolts and washers.

This connector provides a strong mechanical fixing while allowing a small amount of controlled flex. This helps reduce stress on mat edges when subjected to movement from vehicles, plant and machinery, particularly on uneven ground. Fixing mats into a grid also improves surface stability and helps prevent lifting, slipping and trip hazards.

The Standard 4 Way Connector is suitable for medium to long term installations such as access routes, working areas, temporary roadways and car parks. It is commonly used alongside the Standard 2 Way Connector where layouts include both straight runs and full grid fixing.

No specialist equipment is required for installation. Standard spanners, a wrench or a battery operated drill can be used. Air drills are not recommended, as over tightening can restrict movement and increase the risk of mat damage, especially in warm conditions where expansion may occur.

This connector is compatible with a wide range of access mat systems and is commonly used across mixed site environments.
