Premium Grade Horse Arena Geotextile Package - Complete Reinforced System

This premium grade horse arena package combines EcoGrid ground reinforcement with geotextile membranes to create a highly stable, free draining and long lasting arena base. It is designed for arenas subject to regular use, higher loading and ongoing maintenance, including professional training and competition environments.

EcoGrid is installed as the primary load distribution and drainage layer within the arena build up. When filled, it creates a rigid yet flexible structure that spreads loads evenly, reduces rutting and prevents deformation of the sub base. Its open cell design allows water to drain vertically through the construction, reducing surface water retention and soft spots.

A non woven geotextile membrane is installed above the EcoGrid layer and below the riding surface. This membrane provides filtration and separation, preventing fine surface materials such as sand, fibre or waxed blends from migrating down into the grid and aggregate below. It also helps protect the grid during installation and long term use.

This package is suitable for permanent, all weather arenas where performance and durability are critical. Typical applications include professional training arenas, riding schools, competition venues and high quality private manèges. The system is compatible with sand, fibre and waxed riding surfaces, provided correct surface depths are maintained.

Compared to entry level arena builds, the inclusion of EcoGrid significantly improves load bearing capacity, drainage performance and service life. This makes it the preferred option where arenas are used frequently or where ground conditions are weak or prone to waterlogging.

Membrane joints are formed using overlap and single sided cloth tape. This method is reliable, practical on site and avoids the complications associated with adhesives or heat welding.

Standard arena sizes are available as product variations. Bespoke arena dimensions and adjusted quantities can be supplied on request.

EcoGrid E40 is manufactured from recycled polyethylene and forms the primary load distribution layer. The non woven geotextile membrane is manufactured from polypropylene and provides filtration and separation between the grid and riding surface.
