Entry Level Horse Arena Geotextile Package - Woven Base & Non Woven Top Layer

This entry level horse arena geotextile package is designed for private and light use riding arenas. It provides a proven two layer membrane system, combining a woven geotextile base layer with a non woven fleece top layer, plus joining tape for standard overlap installation.

The woven geotextile is installed above the drainage layer and below the aggregate. Its role is separation and stabilisation, preventing the sub base and drainage stone from mixing while maintaining ground structure over time. As this layer sits beneath the aggregate, it is not subject to direct loading from horses.

The non woven geotextile is installed above the aggregate and directly beneath the riding surface. It provides filtration and separation, keeping fine surface materials such as sand, fibre or waxed blends out of the stone layer while allowing water to drain freely through the arena build up.

This package is intended for domestic and light use manèges only. It is suitable for sand, fibre and waxed surfaces, including installations using grid systems, provided the tread layer depth is sufficient. If there is any risk of horses making contact with the membrane, either the tread layer depth must be increased or a heavier non woven grade should be specified.

Each package includes allowance for standard overlaps and a practical quantity of joining tape based on typical installation methods. Membranes are joined using overlap and tape rather than glue or heat sealing, keeping installation straightforward and reliable on site.

The woven and non woven membranes are manufactured from polypropylene. The woven fabric provides tensile strength and stabilisation at base level, while the non woven fleece offers filtration and separation beneath the riding surface.
